Wieden+Kennedy Christmas

With blood donations dropping by 20% over the festive period, Wieden+Kennedy wanted to encourage its employees, clients, and Shoreditch passers-by to donate.

A Christmas tree was put up in their Hanbury Street office window, made entirely out of plastic tubing and constantly flowing with liquid. When people texted their postcode to the window, the tree was brought to life. The blood bag appeared to empty into the tree, LED lights flowed around the branches and a Christmas jingle was heard. They then received a personalised text that showed them all of the donation centres in their local area for the month, with an option to book an appointment. Made with clever people on placement at W+K.
